Measurement Converters
Keep the quantity, change the unit. Choose a SolverCalc converter for a distance, mass, temperature reading, surface area or volume—then select the unit you have and the one you need.
Three published tools cover general units, area and volume. Start with the type of measurement, not just the size of the number: meters, square meters and cubic meters describe different quantities.

Unit Converter
Use the general converter for length, mass or temperature. It also has a short US customary volume list; the dedicated Volume Converter offers more volume choices.
Length · 2.5 meters → centimeters250 cmChoose the category before the From and To units. Length includes metric units, inches, feet, yards and miles. Temperature readings use Celsius, Fahrenheit or kelvin.
Area Converter
Convert a surface or land area that you already know, including square metric units, square feet, acres and hectares.
Area · 2.5 square meters → square centimeters25,000 cm²Enter one area value, not two side lengths. This tool uses international-foot-based units; historical survey units and sloping-land adjustments are outside its scope.
Volume Converter
Convert capacity or three-dimensional space using liters, milliliters, cubic units, US kitchen measures or the separately listed imperial gallon.
Volume · 2.5 liters → milliliters2,500 mLCheck the regional label. US cups, fluid ounces and gallons are not interchangeable with metric cups or imperial measures. This tool does not turn ingredient volume into mass.
The power on the unit changes the conversion
When each meter is replaced by 100 centimeters, a length scales once, an area scales in two directions, and a volume scales in three. The small superscript is part of the unit—not decoration.
- Length× 100
1 m = 100 cmOne dimension: 100.
- Area× 100²
1 m² = 10,000 cm²Two dimensions: 100 × 100.
- Volume× 100³
1 m³ = 1,000,000 cm³Three dimensions: 100 × 100 × 100.

Read these details before converting
- Name the unit system
A label such as gallon, cup or ounce is incomplete in some contexts. Choose the listed US or imperial measure. A fluid ounce describes volume; an ounce of mass belongs in the mass category.
- Separate readings from changes
The temperature mode converts readings, such as 20 °C = 68 °F. A temperature increase of 20 °C is an increase of 36 °F; it does not use the same +32 offset. Do not use a reading conversion for an interval.
- Keep the original precision
Extra decimal places in a converted result do not make the original measurement more precise. Keep enough digits during your working, then round the final answer to suit the task.
Have dimensions, but not an area or volume yet?
A converter rewrites an existing measurement. If the question gives the sides of a shape, calculate the area or volume first, then convert that result using the correct square or cubic unit.
- Triangle Area Calculator
For a triangle, find its area from the supported dimensions before changing square units.
- Rectangular Prism Calculator
For a box, calculate the enclosed volume before changing cubic units or expressing it in liters.
