Grades & Study Calculators

Choose a study calculator for GPA planning, final exam scores, weighted course grades, and practical academic what-if checks.

These SolverCalc tools help students, parents, and teachers turn scores into clear academic decisions. Start with whether you need a course outcome, a final exam target, or an overall GPA result.

Choose the study task

Final Grade Calculator

Find the exam score needed to reach a target course grade, or estimate the final course result from current grade and final weight.

Example inputCurrent 82%, final worth 30%, target 90%Need about 108.67% on the final

Use this when the question is about one course and a remaining final exam or project weight.

GPA Calculator

Convert course grades and credit hours into a semester or cumulative GPA estimate.

Example inputA in 3 credits, B in 4 credits, A- in 3 creditsGPA depends on the grading scale

Use the same grade-point scale your school uses. Some schools weight honors, AP, or plus/minus grades differently.

Course grade and GPA questions are not the same

Study calculators work best when the academic question is separated into course-level planning or transcript-level GPA planning.

  • One courseWhat do I need on the final?Use Final Grade
  • Semester summaryHow do my classes combine?Use GPA
  • Weighted assignmentDoes each category count differently?Check weights first
  • School policyDoes my school use a special scale?Match the official scale

Grade checks before using a result

  • Confirm the grading scale

GPA results depend on the grade-point scale. A 4.0, weighted, plus/minus, AP, IB, or honors scale can change the final result.

  • Check weights before calculating

Final grade and course-category calculations only make sense when each weight is entered correctly. A final worth 30% is very different from a final worth 10%.

  • Separate target from prediction

A target score answers what you need. A prediction answers what may happen based on expected scores. Keep those two study questions separate.

Where study tools connect to the rest of SolverCalc

Grade planning often uses percentage, weighted average, and basic arithmetic before the final academic interpretation.
